We are thrilled to share that Xcede — our practice focusing on Digital, Data and technology - launched its inaugural Salary Guide today.

The survey explores critical trends from the booming data, digital, and technology sectors over the past year, packed with objective facts and stats as well as exclusive insights from leading household names such as Deliveroo, Channel 4 and Cleo.

Specifically, the results highlight findings from across 24 industries, using information from surveys, CVs, job listings and hires to provide a snapshot of current hiring trends.

Commenting on the Salary Guide launch, Julian Vecchio, Xcede’s Global Practice Director noted:

“2020 was a year that will shape the way we work for years to come. If there is anything that this year’s Salary Guide illustrates, it is that the core specialisms we work across–data, digital, and technology–are extremely resilient. They have proved to remain buoyant in very challenging times.”

Key stats from the survey include:

  • Average salaries increased by 5%, with top-end salaries rising by 10%
  • Tech saw the biggest jump in average salary, with a 12% rise from 2019
  • 55% increase in salaries for Head Of roles across all three specialisms

A significant theme that runs throughout the guide is how COVID-19 has impacted financial compensation and accelerated the pace of digitisation across all sectors.

The salary guide can be used by employees to evaluate whether their skills are being matched financially by their employer. For business owners and managers, the survey will be an insightful guide to obtaining and retaining the top talent in their given sector as we enter a post-COVID world.

Download the guide today to explore the biggest salary trends in data, digital, and tech. To share your thoughts on the guide, use the hashtag #XcedeSalarySurvey2021 on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook.
